Frequently Asked Questions RooClear™
Can I bond melamine to melamine with RooClear™?
Yes, this can be done if the area is relatively small. In a larger area, the glue dries from the outside, creating a seal that doesn't allow the center to dry. For large areas contact Roo for assistance. RooTac™
What advantages does RooTac™ have over other water based contacts?
RooTac™ has relatively high solids which allows the user to apply a light coat (~2mils). This concurrently reduces accompanying dry time. What is the dry time and open time for RooTac™?
RooTac™, when applied at 2mils, will normally dry in 5-10 minutes at 70°F. Substrates coated with RooTac™ are capable of bonding after 24 hours. RooWood™
How does RooWood™ compare with other wood glues on the market?
RooWood™ is an aliphatic PVA glue which tests equal to other popular wood glues. It often excels in tack and cure time. Storage
What precautions should be taken for storage?
All Roo glues are water base, therefore, they will freeze. RooWood™ can be frozen and return to normal after thawing. RooTac™ should never be frozen. Best storage temperature is 50° to 80°F. What is the storage life of your products?
When stored properly, our products will remain functional for over a year. Cleanup
How do I clean up after using Roo glues?
Roo glues clean up easily with warm water. Excess glue should be removed from laminated and glued assemblies before the glue cures. Other
Are Roo glues waterproof?

Yes, this can be done. Can your glues be colored?
Yes, this is often done with RooTac™, sometimes RooWood™. How safe are Roo products?
